There are four major releases coming from K-pop girl groups in June, and they are set to be released by four of the biggest names in the business. There are possibly going to be other tunes and projects that will appear before July starts as well, but these bands made up of only women are among the most successful all-female vocal acts on the planet, and they’re only becoming more and more popular with each new drop.
Here are two of the most highly-anticipated K-pop releases coming in June.
June 2 – MAMAMOO – WAW
Just two days into the new month, MAMAMOO kicked things off right for girl groups emanating from South Korea with WAW, their eleventh EP and their first release of any kind in 2021. The four-track effort was presented to audiences with the help of the single “Where Are We Now,” which could quickly become another hit for the band that has been rapidly developing a huge global fan base.
June 28 – LOONA – &
LOONA is yet another South Korean girl group that has already left their mark on the world, and their global domination is just beginning. The band scored a historic win on the American pop radio chart with their single “Star,” and chances are they’ll make another attempt at breaking into the U.S. market with the simply-titled &, which is coming at the very end of the month.
